J & K Retailers

Tinus has been selling biltong at shows across the country and Namibia since the early 1990’s. Unable to find reliable suppliers he bought a butchery in Glenvista in the mid 1990’s to produce his own biltong. During 2001 Tinus moved production to bigger premises in Linmeyer.

Tinus had also acquired a number of small outlets in shopping centres such as Alberton City, Lemontree, Dischem Centre in Brackenhurst, Edenvale, Glenvista and Princess Crossing.

Soon after moving to the bigger premises J & K Retailers started selling off the smaller outlets in order to consolidate and focus on wholesale.

In July 2008 we moved into our new factory in Lakeview Estate. This 1000m factory was bought with expansion in mind. This building offers large mezzanine floor that provides ample warm dry air to dry biltong under the most natural conditions. No heat is applied.
 

Our Products

Our recipe is the result of years of testing at all major shows in RSA. 
Direct interaction with customers resulted in the most pleasing flavours being incorporated in our recipes. 

We supply biltong in whole pieces, slices, chips, sticks, wheels and dry wors. All these products are available in beef and a large variety of game. Biltong (and dry wors) is packed in 5kg bags. Our brand name packets (Savannah Biltong) is available in 50g, 80g, 150g and in a hang or pouch pack.  The client can also provide their own branded packaging. Vacuum packing is done according to the clients needs.
